I’m Karin Wrzesinski, artist, tinkerer, and designer.
I love the energizing feeling of creatively solving complicated problems and contemplating complex challenges. I believe that empathy and philosophy play a huge role in the creative process, by allowing room to view ideas from different angles. With more areas of interest than I could possibly master in one lifetime, this playful curiosity has lead me to work on a wide range of creative projects in graphic arts and digital media over the last 20 years.
I’ve designed print media using various techniques in a range of media, shapes and sizes. I’ve worked in front end web development, designing themes for website content management systems. I’ve edited video, and created motion graphics. I’ve been in the role of production artist as well as creative director, striving to promote brand consciousness through education, style guides, and templates to set a precedent for campaign materials, and ensure visual guidelines are met.
I believe living a creative life means being in awe of my surroundings, at home, in the garden, at work, or in the art studio. I find it in early morning birding adventures, long weekend bike rides and watching the endless tactics of my sweet dog, Basil. With a sketchbook as my constant companion, I believe inspiration can be both found and expressed in everyday activities. By allowing the creative process to flow, we not only improve the world around us, but also the world within.
